<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Cette thèse porte sur la synthèse et l’étude de polycarbamates à séquences définies. Ces molécules ont été synthétisées sur support solide par une méthode ne nécessitant pas de groupes protecteurs mais se basant sur la réactivité du carbonate de N,N'-disuccinimidyle. La répétition itérative de deux étapes d’addition/élimination chimiosélectives permet grâce à ce sous-monomère, de synthétiser des polycarbamates à séquences définies. Les monomères utilisés lors de la seconde étape ont été choisis afin d’introduire volontairement un code binaire dans les molécules. L’information contenue est particulièrement facile à lire grâce au séquençage par spectrométrie de masse en tandem. La dépolymérisation séquentielle de cette famille de molécule a par la suite été étudiée en solution sur des molécules modèles. Enfin, la structure cristalline de différents oligomères a été étudiée par diffraction des électrons. Ce travail a permis de déterminer la densité d’information dans les cristaux ainsi que d’identifier des relations séquence/structure.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This PhD thesis focuses on the synthesis and on the study of sequence-defined polycarbamates. The different oligomers were synthetized on a solid support via a sub-monomer approach based on the reactivity of N,N′-disuccinimidyl carbonate. Two iterative chemoselective addition/elimination steps yielded sequence-defined polycarbamates. Monomers of different chemical structures were used in the second step in order to introduce a binary code in the molecule. Tandem mass spectrometry permitted the easy readout of the encoded information. Sequential head to tail depolymerization of these oligomers was then investigated in solution on small molecules. Finally, data-density in crystals of different oligomers was investigated by electron diffraction. This last study also permitted to highlight sequence/structure relationships in this particular class of sequence defined polymers.</dcterms:abstract>
