Pour souligner que la liberté constitue pour l’homme un sujet majeur. Quel que soit le terme auquel l’on se réfère, il y a en sa racine le désir personnel profond en l’homme de devenir lui-même et à atteindre sa plénitude pour se construire. Cette quête de liberté n’épargne aucune société. Voilà pourquoi, notre question est partie d’une observation attentive de notre société en général et la RD Congo en particulier. Cette notion de liberté a tendance à se présenter à nouveau sous sa forme fondamentale : comment agir librement en faisant ce qui est bien pour soi-même et pour les autres ? L’interrogation sur la liberté demeure toujours brûlante et dévoile un profond malaise au sein de la société contemporaine. Ainsi, surgit la question de savoir : où se trouve l'origine de cette tragédie du monde contemporain ? Est-ce la liberté comme telle qui est responsable de ces déviations éthiques dans la société ? Est-ce, sa fausse conception ou son usage qui peuvent égarer l'esprit humain ? Pour bien comprendre et dissiper les équivocités liées à cette notion de liberté et de son usage, nous avons estimé nous inspirer de Veritatis Splendor de Jean-Paul II. Pour lui, dans l’usage de la liberté personnelle, le devoir fondamental qui incombe aux humains est d’œuvrer pour un usage qui réalise chaque membre de la société et rend service au bien commun de la même communauté. Il s’agit d’une liberté qui se déploie en fonction des principales règles définies par le Législateur Parfait. Ceci signifie que l’homme est appelé à participer en tant que cogestionnaire de la communauté en lien avec son Créateur. C’est ce que Jean-Paul II qualifie de théonomie participée, qu’il considère comme vraie compréhension de la liberté humaine. En ce sens, la liberté ne peut atteindre sa réelle perfection dans son usage que lorsqu’elle est ordonnée au bien de la personne elle-même et de sa société en vue de réaliser l’harmonie sociale. The dignity of the person is, in our time, the topic of an ever more intense consciousness; everyone claims the possibility of acting by virtue of his own options and in all responsibility; not under the pressure of a constraint, but guided above all by one’s own conscience. To emphasize that freedom is a major subject for man. Whatever the term to which we refer, there is at its root the deep personal desire in man to become himself and to reach his fullness in order to build himself. This quest for freedom spares no society. That is why our question is based on a careful observation of our society in general and DR of the Congo in particular. This notion of freedom tends to present itself again in its fundamental form: how to act freely by doing what is good for oneself and for others? The question of freedom is still burning and reveals a deep malaise within contemporary society. Thus, the question arises: what’s the origin of this tragedy of the contemporary world? Is it freedom as such that is responsible for these ethical deviations in society? Is it, its false conception or its use that can lead the human mind astray? In order to fully understand and dispel the equivocities linked to this notion of freedom and its use, we felt we were inspired by Veritatis Splendor of John Paul II. For him, in the use of personal freedom, the fundamental duty incumbent on human beings is to work for a use that realizes every member of society and serves the common good of the same community. It is a freedom that unfolds according to the main rules defined by the Perfect Legislator. This means that man is called to participate as co-manager of the community in connection with his Creator. This is what John Paul II calles as a participated theonomy, which he considers as a true understanding of human freedom. Meaning, freedom can reach its true perfection in its use only when it is ordered to the good of the person himself and of his society in order to achieve social harmony.
