Levinas et V. Jankélévitch. Pour cela, on examine d’abord comment se manifeste cette figure dans la philosophie et on étend cet examen à la façon dont apparaît le bourgeois aussi bien dans la littérature que dans certains courants du judaïsme. Dans un second moment, on procède à l’étude des écrits de Levinas et Jankélévitch pour comprendre quel rôle joue la figure du bourgeois dans la stratégie argumentative des auteurs, à quelles autres figures elle s’oppose et dans quelle mesure elle joue le rôle de contre-modèle de l’éthique que construisent ces philosophes, éthiques qui viseraient une forme de désembourgeoisement. Dans un dernier moment, on envisage les conséquences sociopolitiques qu’on peut tenter de tirer de la présence de cette figure du bourgeois et de cette exigence de désembourgeoisement. We seek to establish how the figure of the bourgeois, discreet but important, is formed in the philosophy of E. Levinas and V. Jankélévitch. For this, we first examine how this figure manifests itself in philosophy and we extend this examination to the way the bourgeois appears both in literature and in certain currents of Judaism. In a second moment, the writings of Levinas and Jankélévitch are studied to understand what role the bourgeois figure plays in the authors' argumentative strategy, to what other figures it opposes, and to what extent it plays the role of counter-model of ethics that these philosophers, ethics that would aim for a form of de-bourgeoisness, play. In a final moment, we consider the socio-political consequences that we can try to draw from the presence of this figure of the bourgeois and this demand for de-escalation.
