<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La lignine thermomécanique (LTM) est une lignine technique très peu caractérisée et inexploitée, dissoute dans les eaux de procédé de papèteries thermomécaniques. L’objectif général de cette thèse est de développer des connaissances et des procédés menant à sa valorisation industrielle. Les travaux rapportés concernent plus précisément la production d’un lot référent de LTM par filtration membranaire, puis sa caractérisation analytique et son conditionnement post-production. Ils incluent également le développement d’un procédé de dépolymérisation enzymatique de la LTM en bioréacteur membranaire. Les résultats générés démontrent qu’il est possible de produire une forme stable, facilement stockable et transportable de LTM en vue de sa commercialisation. Ils soulignent aussi la singularité structurale de cette lignine technique et mettent en avant l’intérêt stratégique de sa valorisation. Enfin, ils démontrent pour la première fois l’intérêt de la filtration membranaire dans le domaine de la dépolymérisation enzymatique de lignines techniques.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The lignin dissolved in the process water of thermomechanical pulping companies (LTM) is currently understudied and not considered as a technical sourcing. The main objective of this thesis is to develop the knowledge and processes required for its industrial valorisation. More precisely, this work reports the production of a referent batch of LTM by membrane filtration, followed by its analytical characterization and downstream processing. It also describes the development of an enzymatic depolymerisation process of LTM in a membrane bioreactor. The results demonstrate the feasibility of producing a stable, easy to store and handle form of LTM for its commercialisation. They also underline the structural uniqueness of this technical lignin and the strategic interest of its valorisation. Finally, they bring the first proof-of-concept demonstrating the interest of membrane filtration in the field of enzymatic depolymerisation of technical lignins.</dcterms:abstract>
