<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Cette thèse vise à l'étude du comportement physico-chimique des nanodiamants dans les dispersions aqueuses et leur adsorption à l'interface gaz / liquide; aboutissant à la conception et à la synthèse de microbulles à paroi de nanodiamants à utiliser pour l'imagerie pour le diagnostic medical et l'administration de médicaments. Un traitement par ultrasons (pH basique) a été développé, qui a produit des dispersions stables de nanodiamants. Un effet de désagrégation et de stabilisation à long terme sur les clusters de nanodiamants en raison de l'exposition aux fluorocarbures a été découvert. Les interactions F-F entre les nanodiamants fluorés et les fluorocarbures ont entraîné une adsorption des nanodiamants plus rapide à l'interface gaz / eau et des microbulles des tailles plus petites avec une stabilité améliorée. La combinaison de solutions de nanodiamants bien dispersées et l'effet du perfluorohexane comme co-tensioactif et stabilisant ont permis de produire des microbulles recouvertes uniquement de nanodiamants (sans tensioactifs). C'est la première fois que de telles microbulles à paroi de nanodiamants sont signalées.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This thesis focuses on the study of the physicochemical behavior of nanodiamonds in aqueous dispersions and their adsorption at the gas/liquid interface; resulting into the design and synthesis of nanodiamond-shelled microbubbles to be used for ultrasound imaging and drug delivery. A basic pH ultrasound treatment was developed, which produced stable nanodiamond dispersions. A disaggregating and long-term stabilization effect on nanodiamonds clusters due to fluorocarbons exposure was discovered. The F-F interactions between fluorinated nanodiamonds and fluorocarbons resulted into faster and larger adsorption of nanodiamonds at the gas/water interface and smaller-sized microbubbles with enhanced stability. The combination of well-dispersed nanodiamond solutions and the effect of perfluorohexane as co-surfactant and stabilizer allowed to produce microbubbles covered by nanodiamonds only (surfactants-free). It is the first time such nanodiamond-shelled microbubbles are reported.</dcterms:abstract>
