<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La multi-fonctionnalisation d’alcools a toujours été d’un grand intérêt pour la formation de composés à valeur ajoutée, en raison de leurs faibles coûts et de leur vaste disponibilité. La formation de liaisons C-C et C-N sont des transformations fondamentales de la chimie organique pour la préparation d’une grande gamme de molécules. Ainsi, notre but été de développer une méthode en ‘one-pot’ pour la multi-fonctionnalisation directe d’alcools dans un relais de catalyseurs de métaux de transition. Dans cette étude nous avons réussi à combiner la β-arylation d’alcools primaires avec une réaction d’alkylation, d’une part, et la β-arylation d’alcools primaires avec une réaction d’amination, d’autre part. L’objectif principal de cette étude était d’étendre l’utilisation de la réaction d’emprunt d’hydrogène, constituant une étape importante dans la réaction d’arylation, à une seconde séquence (alkylation ou amination). Les deux combinaisons de transformations évoquées précédemment (arylation-alkylation ou arylation-amination) ont pu être établies grâce au développement d’une procédure avec des résultats préliminaires prouvant la faisabilité de cette approche.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Multi-functionalisation of alcohols towards value-added building blocks has always been of interest, due to alcohol low costs and availability. The formation of C-C and C-N bonds are fundamental transformations of synthetic organic chemistry for the preparation of a wide range of compounds. Thus, we aimed to develop a one-pot methodology for the direct multi-functionalization of alcohols in a catalyst relay of transition metals. In this study we successfully combined β-arylation of primary alcohols with alkylation, in one hand, and β-arylation of primary alcohols with amination, in the other hand. Expanding the use of hydrogen borrowing from the arylation sequence to the second sequence (alkylation or amination) was the main objective. The two target transformation combinations were achieved through the development of a procedure with preliminary results proving the feasibility of the approach.</dcterms:abstract>
