<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">L’Heptateuchos, poème hexamétrique latin, est une réécriture en style épique des sept premiers livres de l’Ancien Testament. Ce mémoire est une étude des 1498 vers de son liber geneseos, dont il propose un texte critique tiré d’une nouvelle collation des manuscrits médiévaux, et la première traduction en langue française. L’édition est suivie d’un commentaire extensif des 133 premiers vers du poème (Genèse 1-3), à la lumière des sources bibliques et classiques, de la littérature exégétique, et des poèmes bibliques analogues. L’absence des théologèmes augustiniens et les rapports intertextuels confirment une hypothèse de datation « haute », au premier quart du Ve s. ; plus largement, l’analyse met en lumière une volonté de médiation entre culture biblique, connaissances scientifiques du temps, et tradition littéraire classique, ainsi qu’une herméneutique littéraliste et rationalisante, concentrée sur la cohérence et la continuité narrative.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The Latin hexametric poem known as the Heptateuchos is an epic paraphrasis of the first seven books of the Old Testament. This memoir is a study of the 1498 verses of its liber geneseos, of which it offers a critical text based on a new collation of medieval manuscripts, and the first translation into French. The edition is followed by an extensive commentary on the first 133 lines of the poem (Genesis 1-3), in the light of biblical and classical sources, exegetical literature, and analogous biblical poems. The absence of Augustinian theologems, and intertextual reports, confirm a “high” dating hypothesis, back to the first quarter of the 5th century AD. ; more broadly, the analysis highlights a desire to mediate between biblical culture, scientific knowledge of the time, and classical literary tradition, as well as a literalist and rationalizing hermeneutics, focused on narrative coherence and continuity.</dcterms:abstract>
