Cette thèse repose sur l'hypothèse qu'une transition est possible grâce à une innovation qui sera accompagnée par le développement de systèmes technologiques dédiés. Tout d’abord ; pour interroger la structure des flux d'information, les niveaux de spécialisation des connaissances sont étudiés par rapport à la densité technologique au sein des firmes. Ensuite, pour remettre en question les règles qui régissent les relations entre les différents acteurs, j’analyse les activités innovantes initiées pas les firmes à la pointe du progrès au Kenya. Enfin, les défaillances du système, autres que les défaillances du marché inhérentes au système actuel, sont étudiées. Il semble que les interventions politiques lors des défaillances du marché soient plus légitimes, il faudrait donc qu’elles s’appuient sur une réflexion plus globale.
This thesis is based on the premise an innovation-triggered transformation will be accompanied by the development of dedicated socio-technological systems. To interrogate the structure of information flows, the levels of knowledge specialisation are studied in relation to technological density within firms. To question the rules that govern the relationships between the different actors, I analyse the innovative activities by the leading firms in Kenya in relation to the demand for precursor policies in research and innovation. Finally, system failures, other than the market failures inherent in the current system, are studied. Thus, for political interventions in the case of market failures to be more legitimate, they should be based on a more global reflection.
