<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La thèse examine le fil conducteur soutenant la totalité du parcours de J. Ratzinger/Benoît XVI, articulé autour de la relation entre foi et raison, et plus largement entre théologie et philosophie. Ces dernières sont mises en évidence grâce à un dispositif de confrontation bilatérale, qui s’avère vital pour les deux et dont le logos chrétien se porte garant. A partir du cardinalat, en connexion avec l’encyclique Fides et ratio (1998), l’absoluité du christianisme résidera dans la réalisation de ce dispositif et la vera religio acquiert un rôle exemplaire, même au-delà de la discussion interne à la théologie. Elle intervient dans un débat plus ample où sont en jeu des questions issues de la crise de la métaphysique et contribue à différencier et sauvegarder le statut de vérité de la philosophie et de la théologie par rapport aux autres ordres de rationalité, qui ont souvent tendance à s’autonomiser et à nier la scientificité de ces dernières (d’où le combat ratzingerien contre le naturalisme, le pragmatisme, le sociologisme, le relativisme éthique, etc.).</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The thesis examines the leitmotif that runs through the entire path of J. Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, articulated around the relationship between faith and reason, and more broadly between theology and philosophy. The latter are brought to light thanks to a bilateral confrontation, which is vital for both and for which the Christian logos stands as guarantor. From the cardinalate onwards, in connection with the encyclical Fides et ratio (1998), the absoluteness of Christianity will reside in the realisation of this device and the vera religio acquires an exemplary role, even beyond the internal discussion of theology. It intervenes in a wider debate in which questions arising from the crisis of metaphysics are at stake and contributes to differentiating and safeguarding the truth status of philosophy and theology in relation to other orders of rationality, which often tend to become autonomous and deny the scientificity of the latter (hence the Ratzingerian struggle against naturalism, pragmatism, sociologism, ethical relativism, etc.).</dcterms:abstract>
