<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">On présente une nouvelle approche de la modélisation de systèmes complexes utilisant une généralisation des équations de Verhulst, initialement utilisées pour la croissance de population et qui permettent une modélisation continue de systèmes discrets. Les systèmes complexes et leur évolution sont alors décomposés en somme finie de ces processus et identifiés par machine learning. Une première application est proposée dans la modélisation de l’épidémie de SARS-COV2, avec la décomposition des premières vagues en nombre de cas et de décès dans différents pays. Certains phénomènes particuliers, comme l’arrivée d’un confinement, peuvent expliquer l’utilisation de telles sommes afin de reconstruire le phénomène dans son ensemble. Une seconde application concerne les matériaux composites et en particulier, l’essai de fragmentation, pour lequel le même type d’approche permet de reconstruire les résultats d’essais et d’identifier aisément les comportements interfaciaux entre les fibres et la matrice. Sur le même principe, l’endommagement d’un composite en traction sera alors modélisé par des sommes finies des fragmentations pour chaque fibre.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">We present a new approach to model complex systems using a generalization of Vehulst’s equations, originally used for population growth, and which allow continuous modeling of discrete systems. Complex systems and their evolution are then broken down into a finite sum of these processes and identified by machine learning. A first application is proposed in the modeling of the SARS-COV2 epidemic, with the breakdown of the first waves into the number of cases or deaths in different countries. Certain peculiar phenomena, such as the arrival of a confinement, can explain the use of such sums to reconstruct the whole phenomenon. A second application concerns composite materials, and in particular, the fragmentation test, for which the same type of approach makes it possible to rebuild the test results and to easily identify the interfacial behavior between the fibers and the matrix. On the same principle, the damage evolution of a specimen during a tensile test will be modeled by finite sums of the fragmentation for each fiber.</dcterms:abstract>
