<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Cette thèse vise à créer des mousses avec des bulles d'air revêtues d'une peau polymérique. Le processus implique le dépôt de couches de polyélectrolytes de charges opposées sur la surface des bulles, formant ainsi des "bullons". La première partie de la thèse se concentre sur la formation et la caractérisation de la peau polymérique en utilisant des méthodes de rhéologie interfaciale par dilatométrie. Des expériences ont été menées pour étudier les conditions d'adsorption des polyélectrolytes à l’interface liquide/air et pour mesurer les modules dilatationnels élastiques et visqueux. La deuxième partie de la thèse se concentre sur l'étude rhéologique en cisaillement des multicouches de polyélectrolytes adsorbées sur une interface plane. Les modules de cisaillement élastiques et visqueux ont été mesurés pour différentes configurations de multicouches en faisant varier les paramètres expérimentaux de manière plus systématique. Enfin, la troisième partie de la thèse concerne la production de bulles recouvertes d'une peau polyélectrolyte en utilisant un dispositif millifluidique. Un dispositif innovant à base de puces millifluidiques empilées a été développé pour générer des bulles monodisperses et permettre l'adsorption des polyélectrolytes. L'ensemble de ces travaux contribue à la création d'une nouvelle classe de métamatériaux avec des propriétés structurales uniques.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The aim of this thesis is to create foams with air bubbles coated with a polymeric skin. The process involves depositing layers of oppositely charged polyelectrolytes on the surface of the bubbles, forming 'bubbloons'. The first part of the thesis focuses on the formation and characterisation of the polymeric skin using dilatometric interfacial rheology methods. Experiments were carried out to study the conditions of adsorption of polyelectrolytes at the liquid/air interface and to measure the elastic and viscous dilatational moduli. The second part of the thesis focuses on the shear rheology of polyelectrolyte multilayers adsorbed on a flat interface. The elastic and viscous shear moduli were measured for different multilayer configurations by varying the experimental parameters more systematically. Finally, the third part of the thesis concerns the production of bubbles coated with a polyelectrolyte skin using a millifluidic device. An innovative device based on stacked millifluidic chips has been developed to generate monodisperse bubbles and allow polyelectrolyte adsorption. All this work is contributing to the creation of a new class of metamaterials with unique structural properties.</dcterms:abstract>
