<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Ce travail de thèse s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet LUCAS, financé par l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR). L’objectif repose sur le développement de nouveaux dispositifs moléculaires et supramoléculaires pour la conversion ascendante de photons en solution aqueuse. Ils sont basés sur des assemblages contrôlés d’ions lanthanides, formés à partir de ligands macrocycliques tacn et pyclen, afin de favoriser des distances suffisamment courtes entre les ions impliqués.En premier lieu, des assemblages constitués d’une seule unité macrocyclique ont été étudiés et ont permis d’observer le phénomène d’upconversion dans l’eau à température ambiante notamment à partir de la paire d’ions Yb(III)/Tb(III).Puis d’autres systèmes ont été considérés, constitués cette fois de deux unités macrocycliques reliées par un espaceur afin de réunir deux ions sensibilisateurs et un ion accepteur. Il a de nouveau été possible d’observer l’upconversion à partir de la paire d’ions Yb(III)/Tb(III) mais également d’autres combinaisons comme la paire Yb(III)/Ho(III) ce qui a permis d’étoffer les rares exemples d’upconversion à l’échelle moléculaire en solution.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This thesis is part of the LUCAS project, funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). The objective is to develop new molecular and supramolecular devices for upconversion in aqueous solution. They are based on controlled assemblies of lanthanide ions, formed from the macrocyclic ligands tacn and pyclen, in order to favour sufficiently short distances between the ions involved.Firstly, assemblies consisting of a single macrocyclic unit were studied and used to observe the upconversion phenomenon in water at room temperature, in particular with the Yb(III)/Tb(III) ion pair.Other systems were then considered, this time consisting of two macrocyclic units linked by a spacer to bring together two sensitiser ions and an acceptor ion. Once again, it was possible to observe upconversion using the Yb(III)/Tb(III) ion pair, as well as other combinations such as the Yb(III)/Ho(III) pair, adding to the rare examples of upconversion at the molecular scale in solution.</dcterms:abstract>
