L'objectif principal est de reconstruire la manière dont les individus organisaient leur vie quotidienne en temps de crise à travers le sport. L’étude contribue ainsi à une compréhension différenciée de l'histoire de l'Alsace occupée entre 1940 et 1944. Certains sportifs vivaient une normalité dans un quotidien devenu extraordinaire. Cependant, les conditions du sport changeaient radicalement. Les instances politiques cherchaient à façonner la pratique en un instrument de discipline et de contrôle. À partir de documents personnels ainsi que de la presse, de correspondances, procès-verbaux et rapports des bureaux municipaux des activités physiques, la thèse présente une étude de l'occupation de l’Alsace centrée sur les acteurs individuels au-delà des catégories nationales. Elle dégage que la dynamique des interactions, les relations de pouvoir et la complexité du sport ne peuvent être résumées dans une opposition binaire entre les occupants allemands et la population alsacienne occupée. The central focus of the work lies in the experiences of individuals in Alsace, occupied by Germany during the Second World War, in the realm of sports. Through the lens of the history of everyday life, this work contributes to a nuanced understanding of the history of Alsace from 1940 to 1944. These sporting experiences occasionally approached a hoped-for normality un-der occupation—although the sporting practice itself remained precarious and threatened, in-separable from the violent and repressive developments of the Nazi occupation regime.The study explores how the body served as a platform for the enactment of "Germanisation". The treatment of sports clubs reveals inclusion and exclusion within Alsatian occupied society. Moreover, sports highlight the boundaries of control and discipline: when actors resisted, re-fused, or acted independently. Thus, the work sheds light on the opportunities for action under occupation. To do this, the study relies on a broad range of sources, from ego-documents to the archives of the municipal authorities for physical exercise, extending to sports-related pho-tographs and press coverage.
