La détection et l’intégration des informations thermiques sont essentielles à la bonne survie et adaptation d’un organisme à son environnement. Ces travaux de thèse ont porté sur la compréhension fine des mécanismes sous-jacents au traitement des informations thermiques nociceptives. Cette analyse a été effectuée au sein des réseaux neuronaux pour la compréhension du codage électrique de ces dernières par les relais nociceptifs spinaux mais également au niveau comportemental, plus intégré, qui ajoute des composantes émotionnelles et cognitives à la réponse adaptative douloureuse des rats. Cette double approche permet d’appréhender dans son ensemble la complexité de la réponse des animaux vis-à-vis des stimulations thermiques chaudes et froides, potentiellement dangereuses pour l’intégrité de l’organisme
Detection and integration of noxious thermal information are essential to the survival and the adaptation of an organism to its environment. The goal of this thesis aimed to further a fine understanding of the underlying mechanisms noxious thermal information’s processing. This analysis was made within the spinal neuronal network as well as at the behavioural level, more integrated, which adds the emotional and cognitive component of the adaptive response to pain in rats. This double approach allows to apprehend in its entirety the complexity of animals’ response to thermal hot and cold stimuli which are potentially dangerous for the organism’s integrity.
