<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La majorité des espèces adaptent leur reproduction et leur métabolisme énergétique aux rythmes des saisons de façon à assurer la naissance des petits au printemps quand les ressources sont favorables à la survie et à la croissance des individus. L’exposition à des contaminants chimiques environnementaux tels que les perturbateurs endocriniens peut induire des effets délétères sur la reproduction et le métabolisme énergétique de nombreuses espèces. Ce travail contribue à évaluer l’effet d’une exposition au Bisphénol A (BPA) sur l’adaptation physiologique des hamsters aux saisons. L’exposition au BPA à l’âge adulte altère la dynamique des adaptations reproductives et métaboliques des hamsters aux changements de durée de jours (photopériode) avec des différences selon le sexe et la dose d’exposition. De plus, l’exposition au BPA pendant la période périnatale perturbe la fertilité des mères et leur comportement de soins maternels, ce qui modifie la croissance des petits et leur réponse physiologique aux saisons.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Most species adapt their reproduction and energy metabolism to the rhythms of the seasons to ensure the birth of offspring in spring when resources are optimal for survival and growth. Exposure to environmental chemical contaminants such as endocrine disruptors can induce deleterious effects on reproduction and energy metabolism of many species. This work contributes to assess the effect of Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure on the seasonal adaptation of hamsters. Hamsters’ exposure to BPA during adulthood alters the dynamics of reproductive and metabolic adaptations following day length variations (photoperiod) with differences depending on the sex and the dose exposure. Furthermore, in early life, BPA exposure disrupts the fertility and nursing behaviour of the mothers, which alters pups' growth and their physiological response to seasons.</dcterms:abstract>
