<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Ces dernières années ont vu émerger des avancées marquantes en médecine régénérative et en ingénierie tissulaire qui ont transformé le domaine de la santé. Ces techniques novatrices ciblent les défis inhérents à la réparation des tissus humains, notamment le cartilage et l'os, en exploitant des conceptions combinatoires de dispositifs médicaux implantables et de médicaments de thérapie innovante. Malgré ces progrès, des obstacles majeurs persistent. Notre équipe développe des solutions thérapeutiques avancées qui intègrent des dispositifs médicaux implantables combinés à des cellules souches mésenchymateuses, en ciblant des applications orthopédiques. Trois avancés clés prennent forme : i) la mise au point de pansements thérapeutiques polymériques via des techniques d'electrospinning pour régénérer l'os et le cartilage dans les stades avancés de l'arthrose, ii) l’optimisation d'un implant novateur pour la prévention de l'arthrose précoce, et iii) le développement d’une approche thérapeutique utilisant des substituts osseux hybrides et des nano-complexes therapeutiques pour surmonter les défis de la vascularisation dans les cas de défauts osseux de taille critique. Enfin, notre collaboration avec notre « spin-off » Lamina Therapeutics reflète notre engagement à concrétiser les découvertes effectuées en laboratoire par des applications cliniques efficaces. En conclusion, nos avancées en médecine régénérative mettent en lumière des perspectives prometteuses de percées cliniques, tout en ouvrant une nouvelle voie de progrès dans la prise en charge des patients.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Over recent years, breakthroughs in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering have reshaped healthcare. These innovative techniques target the intrinsic repair constraints of human tissues, notably in cartilage and bone, leveraging advanced implantable medical device designs, and advanced therapy medicinal products. However, despite these advancements, significant challenges remain in achieving comprehensive tissue regeneration. Our team develops advanced combined therapy medicinal products by integrating implantable devices with MSCs, targeting orthopedic applications. Three major accomplishments include: i) developing scaffolds using electrospinning techniques to regenerate bone and cartilage in advanced osteoarthritis, ii) optimization an innovative implant for early-stage osteoarthritis prevention, and iii) development of a therapeutic approach using hybrid polymeric and mineral bone substitutes and therapeutic nano-complexes to address vascularization challenges in critical-sized bone defects. Lastly, our collaboration with our spin-off Lamina Therapeutics underscores our dedication to translating laboratory discoveries into practical clinical applications. In conclusion, our advances in regenerative medicine not only highlight promising avenues for clinical advancements but also announce an era of progression in patient care.</dcterms:abstract>
