Rhétorique Écriture Discours (art oratoire) En s’appuyant sur les études théoriques et empiriques existantes portant sur le dialogue entre les pratiques orales et écrites aux Ve et IVe siècles avant J.-C., cette thèse se concentre sur les auteurs et leurs œuvres, ainsi que sur les liens entre ceux-ci. Cet objectif nécessite un retour aux sources antiques et une comparaison des données recueillies. Grâce au riche corpus des dix orateurs attiques, ainsi qu’à leurs contemporains, ce travail cherche à catégoriser les idées liées au débat complexe entre le λέγειν (« dire ») et le γράφειν (« écrire »). L’étude explore également l’improvisation, notamment à travers le pamphlet Sur les sophistes d’Alcidamas d’Élée. Building on existing theoretical and empirical studies concerning the dialogue between the oral and the written practices in the 5th and 4th centuries BC, this thesis focuses on the authors and their works, as well as the connections between them. This objective requires a return to ancient sources and a comparison of the collected data. Drawing from the rich corpus of the ten Attic orators, along with their contemporaries, this project seeks to categorise the ideas related to the complex debate between the λέγειν (“to speak”) and the γράφειν (“to write”). The study also explores improvisation, particularly through the pamphlet On the sophists by Alcidamas of Elaea.
