<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La schizophrénie est associée à des rythmes cérébraux anormaux, en particulier une activité alpha réduite (8-12 Hz) et une activité gamma augmentée (25-55 Hz). Les techniques actuelles de neurostimulation, telles que la Stimulation Électrique Transcrânienne (TES) et la Stimulation Cérébrale Profonde (DBS), utilisent généralement des protocoles de stimulation prédéfinis et ne s'adaptent pas à l'état cérébral en temps réel du patient. Cette thèse présente un système de neurostimulation en boucle fermée qui ajuste dynamiquement la stimulation en fonction des retours EEG en temps réel. Le système repose sur un contrôleur adaptatif basé sur un modèle, capable de moduler l'activité cérébrale afin de restaurer un équilibre sain entre les rythmes alpha et gamma. Afin de surmonter le défi des délais de rétroaction, un algorithme prédictif est intégré, assurant que la stimulation reste synchronisée avec l'activité cérébrale en cours. Les simulations démontrent l'efficacité du système pour rétablir les rythmes cérébraux normaux dans la schizophrénie, offrant ainsi une approche prometteuse de traitement personnalisé.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Schizophrenia is associated with abnormal brain rhythms, particularly reduced alpha activity (8-12 Hz) and increased gamma activity (25-55 Hz). Current neurostimulation techniques, such as Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (TES) and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), typically use pre-defined stimulation protocols and fail to adapt to the patient’s real-time brain state. This thesis presents a novel closed-loop neurostimulation system that dynamically adjusts stimulation based on real-time EEG feedback. The system leverages a model-based adaptive controller to modulate brain activity, aiming to restore a healthy balance between alpha and gamma rhythms. To address the challenge of feedback delays, a predictive algorithm is integrated, ensuring that stimulation remains synchronized with ongoing brain activity. Simulations demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in restoring normal brain rhythms in schizophrenia, offering a promising personalized treatment approach.</dcterms:abstract>
