La réception de l’Art pauvre en France n’a jamais fait l’objet d’une étude systématique, et la bibliographie relative se concentre surtout sur le revival des années quatre-vingt. Parallèlement, les travaux des artistes français débutant entre les années soixante et soixante-dix ont très rarement été traités dans l’optique d’une mise en relation avec le contexte international contemporain. Pendant les recherches il a été possible de découvrir de nouvelles pistes à propos de la nécessité d’une analyse comparée entre l’art italien et l’art français visant soit à préciser la diffusion de l’Arte povera en France à partir de la fin des années soixante, soit à reconsidérer les démarches artistiques contemporaines de certains artistes français à la lumière d’un contexte culturel international plus élargi. This study aims to investigate the critical reception of Arte povera in France during the 1970s with a specific intention to shed light on the exchanges, influences, and reciprocal solicitations established between Italian and French artists. The critical reception of Arte povera in France has never been the focus of a systematic study, and the related bibliography has mainly considered the revival occurred during the 1980s. At the same time, the contemporary works of French artists have very rarely been treated with a comparative approach trying to reconsider them in relation to the contemporary international context. During the research, it was possible to discover new clues about the necessity of a comparative analysis between Italian and French art, either to specify the diffusion of Arte Povera in France from the late 1960s, or to reconsider the contemporary artistic approaches of certain French artists in the light of a broader international cultural context. Questa tesi esamina la ricezione dell'Arte povera in Francia, concentrandosi principalmente sugli anni Settanta, con l'obiettivo specifico di analizzare gli scambi, le influenze e i reciproci influssi instauratisi tra artisti italiani e francesi in relazione alle tendenze processuali e gestuali. La ricezione dell'Art pauvre in Francia non è mai stata oggetto di uno studio sistematico e la bibliografia in materia si concentra soprattutto sulla ripresa degli anni Ottanta. Allo stesso tempo, il lavoro degli artisti francesi a partire dagli anni Sessanta e Settanta è stato raramente esaminato dal punto di vista della sua relazione con il contesto internazionale contemporaneo. Nel corso della ricerca è stato possibile scoprire nuovi percorsi di analisi comparativa tra l'arte italiana e quella francese, volti sia a chiarire la diffusione dell'Arte povera in Francia a partire dalla fine degli anni Sessanta, sia a riconsiderare gli approcci artistici contemporanei di alcuni artisti francesi alla luce di un più ampio contesto culturale internazionale.
