La systématisation de l’étude est assurée par l’analyse de la totalité des occurrences de quatre racines sélectionnées dans le corpus littéraire choisi, les suivantes : a) αἰσχύνη, αἰσχύνομαι ; b) ἐντροπή, ἐντρέπομαι ; c) αἰδώς, αἰδέομαι ; d) ὄνειδος, ὀνειδίζω. L’articulation de la thèse est en quatre parties. La première partie aborde les questions relatives à la traduction de la Septante d’un point de vue essentiellement social. La deuxième porte sur la définition du concept de la honte, avec des considérations sur les concepts relatifs à l’étude des émotions dans les textes bibliques. La troisième partie consiste en une présentation et discussion des racines sélectionnées, où les occurrences des mots, leur valeur dans des contextes spécifiques, leurs relations avec la source en hébreu, leur sémantique et structure grammaticale sont explorées pour atteindre une vision globale des contextes où elles paraissent et des différentes modalités d’expression. La quatrième partie est consacrée à une anthologie des textes pertinents, commentés d’un point de vue linguistique et du contenu. This thesis examines the vocabulary of shame in the Greek Bible. The systematisation of the study is ensured by analysing the totality of occurrences of four roots selected from the chosen literary corpus, the following a) αἰσχύνη, αἰσχύνομαι; b) ἐντροπή, ἐντρέπομαι; c) αἰδώς, αἰδέομαι; d) ὄνειδος, ὀνειδίζω. The articulation of the thesis is in four parts. The first part deals with issues relating to the translation of the Septuagint from an essentially social point of view. The second deals with the definition of the concept of shame, with considerations on concepts relating to the study of emotions in biblical texts. The third part consists of a presentation and discussion of the roots selected, in which the occurrences of the words, their value in specific contexts, their relationship with the Hebrew source, their semantics and grammatical structure are explored in order to achieve an overall view of the contexts in which they appear and the different ways in which they are expressed. The fourth part is devoted to an anthology of relevant texts, commented on from a linguistic and content point of view.
