Revenu minimum garanti Cette thèse s'intéresse au revenu de base tel que formulé et développé par l'économiste et philosophe Philippe Van Parijs. A travers plusieurs méthodes complémentaires telles que l'histoire de la pensée économique, la philosophie économique et l'économie expérimentale, nous cherchons à étudier plusieurs enjeux du revenu de base. Dans un premier chapitre, nous démontrons la complexité du concept et cherchons à apporter une meilleure lecture de ce qu'est le revenu de base, et notamment comment se structure la recherche scientifique qui l'étudie. Le deuxième chapitre vise à étudier la théorie de la justice de Van Parijs axée sur le revenu de base, afin d'examiner si cette proposition, tant sur le plan théorique qu'expérimental, peut répondre à la critique éthique avançant que le revenu de base déresponsabilise les individus du fait de son inconditionnalité. Enfin, dans le dernier chapitre, nous testons en laboratoire, à travers un protocole original, si la théorie de Van Parijs se retrouve dans les choix individuels et notamment si le maximin est à même de justifier le revenu de base, comme l'avance Van Parijs. This thesis focuses on basic income as formulated and developed by economist and philosopher Philippe Van Parijs. Using several complementary methods such as the history of economic thought, economic philosophy, and experimental economics, we aim to explore various issues related to basic income. In the first chapter, we demonstrate the complexity of the concept and seek to provide a clearer understanding of what basic income is, particularly how the scientific research on the subject is structured. The second chapter aims to study Van Parijs’s theory of justice centered on basic income, in order to examine whether this proposal, both theoretically and experimentally, can address the ethical critique that basic income leads to a lack of individual responsibility due to its unconditional nature. Finally, in the last chapter, we test in a laboratory setting, through an original protocol, whether Van Parijs’s theory is reflected in individual choices, and in particular whether the maximin principle can serve to justify basic income, as Van Parijs suggests.
