<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Ce travail décrit le rôle que joue la phénoménologie de Husserl dans la pensée de Tanabe Hajime (1885-1962) entre 1910 et 1921. Ce dernier avait pour projet la poursuite de la révolution copernicienne en accomplissant la critique – la « science du je » dans laquelle, du fait de la présupposition de la chose en soi, le je ne se connaît que comme phénomène – comme métaphysique, entendue au sens de « connaissance de la réalité en tant que je ». La question était de savoir comment la conscience en général se rapporte à la conscience individuelle. « Attestant dans l’intuition des relations internes requises comme fondement de la structure logique des catégories », Tanabe voyait dans la phénoménologie la méthode de l’achèvement de la critique. Elle demeurait cependant imparfaite tant qu’elle ne découvrait que « l’aspect universel de la conscience en général ». La tentative en restera pourtant là. On met ici à disposition un projet philosophique dont les conclusions restent donc encore à tirer.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This work describes the role Husserl’s phenomenology plays in the thought of Tanabe Hajime (1885-1962) between 1910 and 1921. Tanabe set out to pursue the Copernican revolution by accomplishing critique – the “science of the I” in which, due to the presupposition of the thing-in-itself, the I only comes to know itself as a phenomenon – as metaphysics, understood as the “knowledge of reality as the I.” The question was how consciousness-in-general relates to individual consciousness. “Attesting, in intuition, to the internal relationships required as the foundation of the logical structure of the categories,” Tanabe saw in phenomenology the method of the completion of critique. This method was to remain imperfect, however, as long as it merely discovered the “universal aspect of consciousness-in-general.” Tanabe’s attempt would nonetheless go no further. Here, I thus provide the reader with a philosophical project whose conclusions remain, as yet, entirely to be drawn.</dcterms:abstract>
