<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Cette thèse évalue les impacts environnementaux de trois technologies de refroidissement pour serveurs, en combinant les approches attributionnelle (ACV-A) et conséquentielle (ACV-C) de l’analyse du cycle de vie. L’étude s’appuie sur un cas industriel réel dans le secteur de l’informatique, et vise à comparer les résultats et les limites de chaque approche. Les modèles développés sont appliqués de manière cohérente à chaque système, afin de permettre une lecture comparative rigoureuse. Les résultats mettent en évidence des divergences d’interprétation selon le cadre méthodologique choisi, mais aussi selon les types d’impact environnemental considérés. Enfin, une réflexion est menée sur la standardisation des données ACV, afin d’explorer des pistes de modélisation prospective sur plusieurs générations de produits. Ce travail contribue ainsi à renforcer l’applicabilité de l’ACV dans les processus industriels d’écoconception.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This thesis evaluates the environmental impacts of three server cooling technologies, combining the attributional (A-LCA) and consequential (C-LCA) approaches to life cycle assessment. The study is based on a real-life industrial case in the IT sector and aims to compare the results and limitations of each approach. The models developed are applied consistently to each system, to enable rigorous comparative reading. The results highlight differences in interpretation depending on the methodological framework chosen, but also on the type of environmental impact considered. Finally, we are looking into the standardization of LCA data, to explore avenues for prospective modeling over several generations of products. In this way, the work contributes to reinforcing the applicability of LCA in industrial eco-design processes.</dcterms:abstract>
