<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Le soudage laser offre des avantages majeurs en qualité, vitesse et automatisation, d’où sa large adoption dans l’industrie. Cependant, sa complexité physique et ses nombreux paramètres le rendent difficile à maîtriser. IREPA LASER, partenaire industriel, se demande si l’Intelligence Artificielle (IA) peut réduire le temps d’optimisation des paramètres de soudage d’une semaine à quelques jours. Cette thèse est centrée sur l’intégration de l’IA en pré-processus. Un jeu de données, couvrant 5 matériaux, est utilisé pour son entraînement afin de prédire la pénétration des soudures à partir des paramètres. Pour surmonter les limites découvertes (faible précision de prédiction sur un matériau inconnu), une modélisation hybride est proposée : un modèle empirique inspiré de Suder réduit l’espace des paramètres, tandis qu’une IA sélectionne les meilleurs candidats. Testé en conditions réelles, son utilisation a permis l’obtention de soudures proches de celle souhaitée en quelques secondes.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Laser welding offers advantages in quality, speed and automation, hence its wide adoption in manufacturing. However, its physical complexity and numerous parameters make it difficult to master. IREPA LASER, our industrial partner, asks whether Artificial Intelligence (AI) could reduce the time needed to optimise the process parameters from a week to a few days. This thesis is centred on integrating AI in pre-process. A dataset containing welds from 5 materials is used to train an AI-model to predict weld-penetration from sets of process parameters. To overcome the limitations uncovered (low accuracy on unknown material), a hybrid-modelling approach is proposed : an empirical model inspired by Suder reduces the parameter space, from which an AI selects the best candidates. Tested in practical conditions, its use enabled us to obtain welds with dimensions close to targeted ones in a few seconds.</dcterms:abstract>
