<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Cette thèse présente deux études instrumentales et d'analyses basées sur les collisions proton-proton enregistrées par l'expérience CMS au Run 2 et au Run3 du LHC pour une énergie au centre de masse de ...[]. La première étude porte sur la surveillance du vieillissement du trajectographe à pistes en silicium de CMS. Le second sujet présenté est une recherche de nouvelle physique au sein du trajectographe de CMS. Le trajectographe de CMS est exposé à de hauts niveaux de radiations, ce qui provoque des défauts dans la structure en silicium des capteurs. U analyse dédiée des modules à pistes en silicium via la mesure de la tension de déplétion complète est nécessaire pour assurer une bonne qualité de collecte des données, avec une extrapolation de l’analyse jusqu’à la fin du Run 3 et au-delà. Une nouvelle méthode est proposée pour estimer la tension de déplétion complète. La seconde étude est une recherche de quarks top déplacés au sein du trajectographe du détecteur CMS au LHC. La recherche se base sur la reconstruction de vertex déplacés pour identifier les événements de signal et estimer le bruit de fond dans la région de signal. L’analyse est actuellement en cours de relecture par la collaboration CMS, et reste donc aveugle à la région de signal, mais les limites attendues sont fournies dans ce document.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">This thesis presents two instrumental and analysis studies both based on proton-proton collisions data from the CMS experiment during Run 2 and Run 3 at the LHC with a center-of-mass energy of ...[]. The first study is devoted to the monitoring of the ageing of the silicon strip tracker of CMS. The second topic is a search for new physics with the CMS tracker. The tracker of CMS is exposed to high level of radiation damaging the lattice of the silicon sensors. Dedicated monitoring of the silicon strip sensors via the full depletion voltage is needed to ensure good data-taking with an extrapolation towards the end of Run 3 and beyond. A new method to estimate the full depletion voltage is proposed. The second study is a search for displaced top quark within the tracker volume of the CMS experiment at the LHC. The search relies on the reconstruction of displaced vertices to identify the signal events and estimate the background in the signal region. The analysis is being under review by the CMS collaboration, thus still blinded to the signal region but expected limits are provided.</dcterms:abstract>
