<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">La grandeur de la vie sauvage est au cœur de la réponse de Yhwh à Job (Jb 38-41), dont l’ironie force Job à sortir de son cadre de pensée anthropocentrique. Les saynètes animalières célébrent la liberté de la vie sauvage. Le scribe subvertit les codes de la mythologie proche-orientale et déploie une poétique qui fait de la création un tableau dans lequel animaux et biotopes se mêlent et se confondent. Le plan de Dieu pour le cosmos est une attention aux peines et aux craintes de l’ensemble des créatures, auxquelles Job est invité à participer. Job voit sa conception d’un Dieu rétributeur s’effondrer. En soulignant le ridicule de l’hybris humaine à vouloir soumettre ce qui le dépasse, et notamment le Léviathan et Béhémoth, Yhwh entraine Job dans un processus d’apaisement et de sortie de son angoisse. La transformation de Job se manifeste dans l’épilogue par sa tendresse envers ses filles et la créativité institutionnelle qu’il déploie pour les insérer dans un ordre social plus juste.</dcterms:abstract>
<dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">The greatness of wild life is at the center of Yhwh's answer to Job (Job 38-41), whose irony forces Job out of his anthropocentric frame of mind. The animal sketches celebrate the indomitable freedom of wild life. The scribe subverts the codes of Middle Eastern mythology and deploys a poetic style that turns creation into a painting in which animal species and biotopes are intertwined and merge. God's plan for the cosmos is a presence and a concern for the sorrows and fears of all creatures, in which Job is invited to participate. Job sees his conception of a retributive god collapse. By underlining the ridiculousness of human hubris in vainly trying to subjugate what is beyond him, and in particular the Leviathan and Behemoth, Yhwh leads Job into a process of appeasement and escape from his anguish. Job's transformation is demonstrated in the epilogue by his tenderness towards his daughters and the institutional creativity he deploys to integrate them into a fairer social order.</dcterms:abstract>
