La Constitution d'une seigneurie territoriale dans le Kinzigtal des Fürstenberg de 1491 à 1609 : l'accroissement du patrimoine comtal comme préalable à l'établissement d'une souveraineté territoriale The Constitution of a territorial lordship in the Kinzigtal governed by the Counts of Fürstenberg, 1491-1609,increasing of the counts' inheritance as a precondition for establishing a territorial sovereignty Seigneuries Pas de mots clés en anglais 943.03 Seigneuries Thèses et écrits académiques Comtés Thèses et écrits académiques La thèse étudie la politique patrimoniale des comtes von Fürstenberg au cours du XVI°s. dans leur seigneurie du Kinzigtal, seigneurie moyenne de la région du Rhin supérieur, et s'attache à démontrer que cette politique patrimoniale n'a pas été motivée par le seul désir des comtes souverains d'accroître leur patrimoine. Bien au-delà de cette explication traditionnelle, il apparaît que l'action des comtes dans ce domaine doit être plutôt rattachée à la phase finale des mécanismes de territorialisation et de médiatisation, déclenchés par la réforme institutionnelle que la diète de Worms de 1495 a mis en route, en conciliant les volontés opposées de l'empereur et des princes en la matière. Un nouveau mandat de souveraineté donné aux états d'empire siégeant à la diète d'empire demandait de ces derniers qu'ils organisent sur des bases nouvelles l'administration de leurs territoires, au titre desquels ils siégeaient à la diète et au diétines de cercle et recouvraient les impositions d'empire. Dealing with the patrimonial policy of the Counts of Fürstenberg during the XVIth century in their district of Kinzigtal, a medium sized lordship in the region of the upper Rhine, this thesis is trying to demonstrate that such a policy is not motivated by the only target consisting of improving their inheritance. Beyond this traditional explanation, it appears that the action of the counts in this domain is depending more on the final stage of the territorialization and mediatization, triggered by the institutional reform introduced by the Holy Empire Diet of Worms in 1495. It reconciled the opposite opinions of the Emperor Maximilian and the German princes. A new delegation of sovereignty was given to the states of empire sitting at the Diet; it required from the states of empire that they base on new principles the organization of the administration of their territories, for which they were sitting at the Diet and Circle diets and were recovering the empire taxes.
