Du prophète au savant : la question de la transmission du savoir dans le "Guide des perplexes" de Maïmonide From the prophet to the scholar,the question of the knowledge's transmission in "The guide of the perplexed" by Maimonides Philosophie juive Pas de mots clés en anglais 181.06 Philosophie juive Thèses et écrits académiques Le but de ce travail est d'analyser la figure du savant et son rôle, dans le temps de l'Exil et de la perte de la prophétie, à partir d'une lecture du Guide des Perplexes de Maïmonide. La vocation du savant est interrogée à travers la question de la perplexité. Celle-ci n est pas un égarement mais, en raison des contradictions qu elle engendre chez le savant, elle représente l'impulsion initiale le préparant, grâce à la philosophie, à restaurer la science profonde de la Loi que Maïmonide juge perdue. Par l'étude du mode de restauration de cette science, ce sont les  lumières  proprement maïmonidiennes qu il s'agit de dessiner. Ce travail vise à se demander si cette restauration, par le Guide des Perplexes, est un guide réservé à une élite ou si sa fonction est également sociale, celle de l'enseignement des masses par cette élite. Si ce projet de restauration est ouvertement philosophique et intellectuel, cette étude aspire à montrer qu il est également social et politique. Throughout a reading of Maimonides Guide of Perplexed, the purpose of this study is to analyze the figure of the scholar and its role during the time of Exile and of the loss of the prophecy. The scholar s vocation is questioned through the problem of the perplexity. This one is not a wandering but, because of the contradictions it generates with the scholar, it represents the initial impulse which, thanks to the philosophy, prepares him to restore the deep science of the Law which Maimonides considers to be lost. By the study of the mode of restoration of this science, the very Maimonides lights have to be drawn. This work aims at understanding if this restoration, by the Guide of the Perplexed, is a guide reserved for an elite or if its function is also social, that of the education of the masses by this elite. If this project of restoration is explicitly philosophical and intellectual, this study aspires to show that it is also social and political.
