Within the French territory itself, we can notice differences in vaccination coverage. There are certainly many criteria to explain these differences in vaccination coverage. The practice of general practitioners undoubtedly has a role in them. Objective: We will study the practices and opinions of general practitioners regarding HPV vaccination in two cantons of Haut-Rhin and two cantons of Bas-Rhin where there is a difference in vaccination coverage. The main objective was to study the opinion of general practitioners and their practices on HPV vaccination and thus, to try to highlight certain factors that may explain the differences in vaccination coverage between the cantons. Material and methods: We compared doctors from the cantons of Obernai and Wittenheim (CV+ group) whose CV rate was high (-30%) and the cantons of Illkirch and Cernay (CV-group) whose CV rate was considered low (- or = 30%). Results: The scoping study is based on 81 responses among the 143 eligible in the 4 cantons. The UHC rate of women aged 30 to 50 years of age of age with girls aged 11 to 19 years was similar in the 2 groups compared (CV+: 4.4% vs CV-: 5.8%) as well as the density of doctors in relation to the target population namely young girls of vaccination age (CV+: 1423.6/100000hb vs HP-: 1433.8/100000hb). There is a higher proportion of doctors practicing gynecology in the high vaccination coverage group compared to the low vaccination coverage group (58.33% vs 35.56%; p = 0.04). No other demographic criterion distinguishes between the two groups. Similarly, doctors in both groups are in favour of vaccination and offer it in similar proportions without having noticed any differences in the frequency of refusals by patients.
