Résumé(s) : This research is conducted as part of the Master degree in international project management at the University of Strasbourg. This study investigates the relationship between remote agile teams and their ways of communicating and collaborating. We analyze whether communication and collaboration are still efficient when working in a remote agile environment. The research has been conducted in the tech teams of a company named ABOUT YOU in Hamburg, Germany. A survey with 41 different questions has been sent to 213 participants from the tech teams and 59 have returned the completed survey. The analysis shows that communication and collaboration are less frequent, but the participants mentioned that it does not have a negative impact: miscommunication does not happen often, knowledge is still shared and the team members are aware of the goals and responsibilities of the teams. To conclude, agile team communication and collaboration does not seem to be negatively influenced by the distance between distributed teams, and companies should consider switching to remote agile teams because it is a powerful tool for them.
