Résumé(s) : Few postpartum women consult their general practitioner, even though this is part of their remit. We want to understand the reasons for this absence and find ways to remedy it. Our qualitative study took place between August 2021 and February 2022 in the Bas-Rhin, with semi-structured interviews with 10 women who had given birth in the last six months. Women under guardianship, minors and women who did not speak French were excluded from the study. Although all the participants were accompanied by a midwife, most of them considered their post-partum follow-up to be insufficient. But only four of them had seen their general practitioner. Indeed, for these young mothers, their health is not their priority. In this age group, women rarely consult their general practitioner. A systematic post-partum consultation seems useful, even necessary.
