Description : Médecine (médecine générale), Introduction: In France, 25% of GPs discuss sexuality with teenagers. The number of abortions is stagnating and HPV vaccination coverage is decreasing. In a 2000 study by Somers and Paulson, nearly 79% of teenagers said they were "influenced" or "very influenced" by what their parents had taught them about sexuality. Method: Understanding the vision and expectations of parents, in the context of the care of their adolescent's sexuality, would allow us to raise their awareness. The objective of this study was to first determine the frequency of sexuality by parents with their adolescents. For this, a descriptive cross-sectional study, by quantitative survey, using a self-administered questionnaire, on the basis of the voluntary participation of parents of adolescents from 11 to 18 years old, on 364 participants in the community of communes of Saverne. Results: Simple descriptive analyzes and univariate analysis were used. This frequency was 82%. The secondary objective was to assess the importance of the role of the attending physician in the management of adolescent sexual health. For nearly 70% of parents, it is the role of the attending physician to take care of the sexual health of adolescents. Parents are in favor of more communication with the attending physician on this topic and 90% of them believe they can positively influence their teenager to improve prevention and promotion of sexual health by the attending physician. For nearly 73% of parents, teenagers should be systematically informed and for nearly 63% of parents, the notion of confidentiality should be reminded to the child and 42% recommend that it be the MT who broaches the subject. Conclusion: Parents of adolescents discuss sexuality with their teenagers and are in favor of more communication and support for their adolescents by the attending physician concerning the promotion and sexual health of the latter. A brochure for general practitioners has been produced to make them aware of the results of the survey and the wishes of parents regarding the management of the sexual health of their teenagers., Thèses et écrits académiques
