To study patients’ feeling concerning the prescription and the realisation of radiological examinations during an acute back pain’s management. Methods : A self-report questionnaire including 18 questions has been given to patients, consulting a radiology center to achieve examinations prescribed by their doctors, for six weeks between January and February of 2021. Results : 63 questionnaires have been completed. Patients were reassured by the realisation of a standard radiography instead of the association of a radiography with a MRI or a CT Scan. Patients think that medical imaging is very useful and that it’s the third best way to manage back pain in terms of therapeutic and diagnosis, before physical activity. Standard spine radiography is considered to be the most efficient, before MRI. Conclusion : Patients think that radiological examinations are particularly essential to back pain’s management, which is in contrast with HAS’ recommendations. A benefic psychological effect to their achievement can be discussed for certain patients. Repeated information campaigns will be necessary to the evolution of these strong anchored beliefs. The involvement of doctors, kinesitherapists, osteopaths and even internet seems necessary., Thèses et écrits académiques
