Description : Médecine (médecine d'urgence), Introduction: Atrial fibrillation (AF) accounts for 0.5% of admissions to emergency department (ED). It is a risk factor for stroke, heart failure and overall mortality. Objective: We assessed the compliance of AF management in ED according to the guidelines ESC 2020 and a local protocol. Material and method: The study was retrospective observational. During the 12-week period, 80 patients were included. Primary outcome was the rate of compliance of care. It was defined by management of the thromboembolic risk and of the rhythm and frequency. We also assessed compliance with the request of cardiological opinion (CO). Results: The management of patients with AF complied with the guidelines for 55 patients, (68.7%). CO was requested according to the protocol for 70 patients (87.5%). Conclusion: This study has shown good compliance of emergency care and dialogue between emergency physician and cardiologist, Thèses et écrits académiques
