FR El Ahmar, Caren 2023-09-13 Pharmacie Le syndrome de Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) est un syndrome congénital caractérisé par l’absence de l’utérus et des deux tiers supérieurs du vagin. Sa prévalence est estimée à 1 sur 5 000 naissances féminines vivantes et occasionne une infertilité. Une étiopathogénie peu connue à ce stade mais qui implique probablement des mutations au niveau de certains gènes essentiels pour le développement de l’appareil génital féminin. Pour améliorer la vie sexuelle des patientes, il existe des traitements non chirurgicaux et chirurgicaux mis en place au fil des années. Cependant, pour permettreaux patientes de vivre pleinement leur maternité, la greffe utérine s’est positionnée comme l’une des méthodes clé. Une greffe qui pour l’instant est expérimentale et qui, 2019, a permis à une patiente en France de concevoir deux petits enfants. The Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a congenital syndrome characterized by the absence of the uterus and the upper two-thirds of the vagina. Its prevalence is estimated at 1 in 5 000 live female births and causes infertility. The etiopathogenesis is little known, however it probably involves mutations in certain genes essential to the development of the female reproductive system. In order to improve the sexual life for the patients, there are surgical and non-surgical treatments implemented over the years. However, in order to help the patients, conceive and to fully let them experience motherhood, uterine transplantation positioned itself as one of the key methods. A transplantation which is currently experimental and which, in 2019, helped a young woman to conceive two babies in France.
