<dc:description xsi:type="unistra:Resume" xml:langue="fre">Les bactéries se trouvent dans une multitude d'environnements et interagissent étroitement avec leur milieu, y compris dans le corps humain. La découverte du Quorum Sensing (QS) a révolutionné notre compréhension des bactéries en montrant leur capacité à communiquer entre elles. Le QS permet aux bactéries de coordonner leur comportement en fonction de la densité cellulaire grâce à des auto-inducteurs. Ces adaptations modifient leur comportement, comme la virulence, la formation de biofilm et la résistance aux antibiotiques. Le Quorum Quenching (QQ) offre une solution prometteuse à ces défien interférant avec le QS, tant au niveau intracellulaire qu'extracellulaire, grâce à des molécules inhibitrices du QS (QSI). Ces QSI imitent les auto-inducteurs du QS, inhibant ainsi leur production ou leur perception par les bactéries.</dc:description>

The discovery of Quorum Sensing (QS) revolutionized our understanding of bacteria by showing their ability to communicate with each other. QS allows bacteria to coordinate their behavior depending on cell density using autoinducers. These adaptations modify their behavior, such as virulence, biofilm formation and resistance to antibiotics. Quorum Quenching (QQ) offers a promising solution to these challenges by interfering with QS, both intracellularly and extracellularly, through QS inhibitory molecules (QSI). These QSIs mimic the autoinducers of the QS, inhibiting thus their production or their perception by bacteria.</dc:description>
