<dc:description xsi:type="unistra:Resume" xml:langue="fre">De nos jours, l'odontologie connaît une évolution croissante et fulgurante, tant au niveau thérapeutique que matériel, permettant de résoudre des situations de plus en plus complexes. Néanmoins, il persiste une catégorie de patients dont la prise en charge bucco-dentaire est toujours limitée et difficile : ce sont les patients atteints d'anxiété lors de la consultation et des soins chez le chirurgien-dentiste. Le cabinet dentaire regorgeant de stimuli sensoriels pouvant générer stress et angoisse chez certains patients, il est intéressant de s’y pencher de plus près. En effet, si l’on détermine quels sont ces facteurs pour ensuite les détourner de façon positive, il est possible de réduire le niveau d’anxiété tant dans les parties communes qu’en salle de soins. Une étude préliminaire réalisée au sein du Pôle de Médecine et de Chirurgie Bucco-Dentaires de l’Hôpital Civil de Strasbourg, visant à déterminer les sources majeures d’appréhension et d’angoisse des patients, présente d’ailleurs des similitudes avec les faits rapportés par la littérature récente</dc:description>
<dc:description xsi:type="unistra:Resume" xml:langue="fre">Nowadays, there is an important evolution of dentistry that allows to solve more and more complex dental situations. However, there is still a category of patients having troubles with dental care. Those people suffer of dental anxiety. The dental practice is a place full of sensorial stimuli that can lead to anxiety and distress for some patients. Thus, it is interesting to know more about them. If we are able to determine what those factors are and to use them in a positive way, then it is possible to reduce the patients’ level of anxiety. This would be applicable both in waiting and dental care areas. Moreover, our study conducted in the Dental Clinic of the Hôpital Civil de Strasbourg shows similar results with the current literature.
