During clinical practice, it seems that patients coming from endemic areas targeted palludic manifestations in the coming days from arriving in the metropolitan areas. The main criteria of evaluation was the delay between the date of arrival and the manifestations of malaria infection. This retrospective study, analyzed the data of patients being diagnosed with malaria in the Strasbourg University Hospital for a period of one year starting from 1st of january 2017.This has permitted to confirm the clinical observation that patients coming from endemic regions will trigger a “palludic acces” to P. falciparum in about 4 days. The biological diagnosis was made in pre-HUS in 17,5% of the cases, and the species diagnostic was 100% in concordance with the parasitology laboratory of the Strasbourg University Hospital. A «palludism» tab was added in the data network for the emergency departement as a result of the study to help with severe malaria acces
