Description : Médecine. Cette étude permet de mieux appréhender les facteurs influençant l’orientation en hospitalisation des patients admis en unité de 72h., Summary : The objective of this study was to determine psychiatric hospitalisation predictive factors after a short stay (-72h) in the crisis unit of a psychiatric emergency room within a general hospital. The data was extracted from databases listing patients (n=227) that were admitted to the 72h unit of the psychiatric emergency room of Colmar’s hospitals over the period of a year. Significant predictive factors of psychiatric hospitalisation were the initial wish to be hospitalized (OR=5.68), psychotic symptoms (OR=3.91), depressive symptoms (OR=2.99), the presence of a comorbidity (OR=2.30), or suicidal thoughts (OR=2.03). Conversely, being 65 or older (OR=0.29) was found to be correlated with a lower hospitalisation rate. This study identified predictive factors influencing the hospitalisation of patients after a stay in the 72h unit, allowing for better patient assessment and care upon admission.
