Résumé(s) : La pharmacie en Alsace de 1803 à 2024 propose une analyse de l’Histoire pharmaceutique d’une région au carrefour des influences culturelles et politiques. Ce travail met en lumière les étapes clés de l’évolution de la profession, depuis la fondation de l’École de pharmacie de Strasbourg en 1803 sous les réformes napoléoniennes, jusqu’aux enjeux contemporains du système de santé et de l’innovation scientifique. Cette thèse explore entre autres les défis posés par des périodes charnières telles que l’annexion de l’Alsace-Lorraine par l’Allemagne en 1871, la germanisation des institutions universitaires, et les impacts des deux guerres mondiales. Ces bouleversements ont façonné non seulement les pratiques professionnelles, mais aussi les dynamiques sociales et associatives. Ce travail met en avant le rôle des sociétés et associations étudiantes, notamment la Société des Élèves en Pharmacie d’Alsace-Lorraine (SEPAL), l’Association Amicale des Étudiants en Pharmacie de Strasbourg (AAEPS), et le Hazweiess (H2S), qui ont contribué à préserver un esprit de communauté et de résilience à travers les époques. Dans l’après-guerre, les associations étudiantes ont joué un rôle clé dans la renaissance des traditions estudiantines et la perpétuation d’un riche patrimoine culturel, tout en s’adaptant aux mutations diverses du système de santé et des sciences pharmaceutiques. Cette thèse expose ainsi les continuités et les ruptures qui ont marqué l’histoire pharmaceutique en Alsace., Pharmacy in Alsace from 1803 to 2024 offers an analysis of the pharmaceutical history of a region at the crossroads of cultural and political influences. This work highlights the key stages in the evolution of the profession, from the founding of the Strasbourg School of Pharmacy in 1803 under Napoleonic reforms, to contemporary challenges in the healthcare system and scientific innovation. The thesis explores, among other topics, the challenges posed by pivotal periods such as the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine by Germany in 1871, the Germanization of university institutions, and the impacts of the two World Wars. These upheavals shaped not only professional practices but also social and associative dynamics. This research emphasizes the role of societies and student associations, including the Société des Élèves en Pharmacie d’Alsace-Lorraine (SEPAL), the Association Amicale des Étudiants en Pharmacie de Strasbourg (AAEPS), and the Hazweiess (H2S), which contributed to preserving a spirit of community and resilience throughout the ages. In the post-war period, student associations played a key role in reviving academic traditions and perpetuating a rich cultural heritage while adapting to the various changes in the healthcare system and pharmaceutical sciences. This thesis thus examines the continuities and disruptions that have shaped the pharmaceutical history of Alsace.
